King James

There has been a long debate over who is better LeBron James or Micheal Jordan. In my opinion I think LeBron James is better. These are three reasons  why LeBron is better than Micheal Jordan. First he has better averages in rebounds, assists, field goal percentage, and 3-point percentage. Lebron has a 7.5 average in rebounds while Jordan has 6.2 as his average. Lebron has a 7.4 average in assists compared to Jordans 5.3. Next is field goal percentage James has a 50.5% compared to Jordans  49.7%. Lastly is 3-point percentage with James’s being 34.7% compared to Jordans 32.7%. The second reason why LeBron is better is because he has better longevity. LeBron has been in the league for 22 seasons which is tied for the most with Vince Carter, but Micheal was only in the league for 15 seasons. The last reason why LeBron is better than Micheal Jordan is he has way more points than him over his career. James has 42,020 points in his career compared to Jordans 32,292 career points. This means LeBron has almost 10,000 more points than Micheal Jordan. I hope I have persuaded you to think LeBron is the G.O.A.T. Thanks for reading my free write blog this week!!!

Rad Reading – March!

For the month of March I read the book “Michael Jordan” by Chip Lovitt. The book starts with introducing Micheals love for basketball and his childhood in North Carolina. Next the book explains his college years at The University of North Carolina and how he led his team to a NCAA championship in 1982, won the ACC rookie of the year award, and got collage player of the year by the Sporting News. Next it mentions the start of his career and later years of his career like getting drafted by the bulls and his rapid rise to fame, and his 6 championships with the team and numerous records that were broken. He also won two Olympic gold medals and played on the dream team. Lastly it mentions the legacy that he left and how he is arguably considered one of the greatest of all time. I liked this book because it was a biography. I like reading biography’s because it helps me further understand him as a person and a player. Also I can use this information to prove that LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan. My favorite character from this book was obviously Michael Jordan because one he was the main character and two he has good character traits such as being dedicated and determined. A quote to prove these character traits are, “It is the story of a boy who dreamed of becoming a champion and made the dream come true with years of practice, dedication, determination — plus a style all his own.” This quote prove Michael is dedicated and determined because at the start it mentions that he always wanted to become a champion this shows the perseverance and self confidence which most people don’t have. It also shows he had a lot of fight which is similar to determination. My favorite quote from this book was, “Everyone says thirty-four is two old. The challenge is still do at thirty-four what the young guys are doing at twenty-five, twenty-six. I feel I’m playing my best basketball. I feel that mentally, I know much more. Earlier I had more reckless abandon, and was more athletic. Now I thick I show more savvy out there.” This quote is my favorite because it showed and brought out his greatness that  he still thought he could beat someone even though he was older than them. This quote also brought out his mental toughness as he is very confident in himself. Thanks for reading my Rad Reading this month!!! Expect another one next month.

My Dinner Party!

There are many people I would want to invite to my house to have dinner, but these are my top three. First I would invite over my glorious king, LeBron James. I would invite LeBron to come to my house because after he can play basketball with me to improve my skills. Improving my skills would help beat all of my friends in basketball. Next I would invite Jeff Bezos. Inviting Jeff Bezos would be a good decision because he could give me free amazon for a lifetime. This would help me save lots of money that I can use to buy other things like a house. Lastly I would invite Shohei Ohtani. I would invite Shohei over so I can meet his dog, Decoy. His dog would interact with my dogs which would make them entertain so I wouldn’t have to watch over them or worry about them.

My Dream Job

My dream job would be to play for the dodgers in the MLB as a professional baseball player. My first reason why this is my dream job is it is fun. With baseball being enjoyable for me it would be less boring and I would be excited to go to work. My second reason is this job makes a lot of money. The average salary in the MLB per year is 4.98 million dollars. This would be more than enough money to buy a home and sustain a good life with a family. Another reason why I would want to do this job is I could build a reputation and gain fame. By preforming well I could catch the eye of people and become famous. This would lead to more sports related endorsement deals and would earn me more money. Lastly I can travel the world. Every season players travel around 10-15 different states for away games. There are also eight games played internationally in Japan, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Thanks for reading my blog. 🙂

What I Would do if I were Invisible for a Day.

If one day I were to become invisible I would start a career in magic. Being invisible would make stunts easier and more entertaining for viewers. Next I would play hide and seek with my friends. Being invisible would make it nearly impossible for me to get caught. So I would win every game. I would also bet on my hiding abilities because I know I will win. Overtime this would make me lots of money. With all of this money I would buy a new car. Lastly I would rob a bank. Overtime this would accumulate a lot of money which I would use for good buying everyone in the world a Big Mac and a Coke from McDonalds. Thanks for reading this week’s blog!!!

Rad Reading – February!

For the month of February I read the book Skateboard Tough by Matt Christopher. First in the story you get introduced to Brett, the main character Brett is just moving into his new house when he finds a weird looking trunk in his backyard. In this trunk he finds a skateboard. Brett then goes outside to test it. He weirdly can do all these tricks he has never been able to do. He is puzzled by why he can all of a sudden do all these tricks, wo he thinks his skateboard is haunted. He ends up entering himself in a competition and wins lots of money and figures out who lived in the house before him.

I loved this book because it was very suspenseful and interesting to see the story tie together at the end.

My favorite character was the lady that moved in across the street from Brett (it didn’t mention the name). I liked this character because she knew it has illegal to skate on that street put she still let him have fun, and ended up building them a skatepark. A character trait of this lady is caring. A quote to prove this is, “Boys come over I have something for you.” This was the time when she introduced them to the skatepark that she made. This quote proves she didn’t have to make this for them, but she did because she felt it would make them happy. My favorite quote from this book was “You’re not going to keep it? his mother said. It doesn’t seem right, you know.” This quote is my favorite because it showed his mom didn’t want to keep the skateboard that ended up getting them a lot of money. My Island of Paradise

Some people dream about owning an abandoned island or a island for themselves. This is what I just did. I ended up on this island because I bought it for fifteen million dollars. This island came with a large, beachfront, house leading to the sand. It also came with waterslides going into the ocean, and lots of trees, wildlife, and yachts. I live inside the large house. Of course in the master bedroom with views of the ocean and white, sandy beaches, where I wake up every day. I then go onto to my porch overlooking the ocean and eat breakfast. I will next drive my yacht out and go for a swim. I will come back and eat lunch specifically a cheeseburger. And just have the rest of the day to chill until dinner. For dinner I will have a steak with potatoes. And thats my day on my island of paradise. Thanks for reading the blog for this week and look out for another blog to come next week.

Rad Reading – January!

For the month of January I read the book Tough to Tackle by Matt Christopher. The plot of this book was it started with Boots (the main character) wanting to be the quarterback for his football team the Apollos. But because of his small and short size his coach moves him to a tackle position. Boots wants to rebel by leaving the team because he isn’t the quarterback. Then his brother, Tom, teaches him a valuable lesson about giving up. I loved that the book could relate to me, as this is a book about football. If you play football you may want to read this book as it is full of action and setbacks. My favorite character from the book is Boots Raymond.

My favorite character is Boots Raymond because he is rebellious because he wants to leave the team because he wants to be the quarterback, but he isn’t. One character trait Boots Raymond acquired when he wanted to be the quarterback is fearless. A quote to prove Boots is fearless is, “No one trusts a quitter… More than anything Boots Raymond wants to be a quarterback for the Apollos. This shows his outgoingness to go and tell the coach he wants to play quarterback even though he may not like it. My favorite quote from the book was, “what position you guys shooting for?” he asked. “Quarterback,” said Bud. Halfback,” answered Duck, straitening his hat. “What position you shooting for? Guard?” Guard, my eye. I’m shooting for quarterback, too.” “Quarterback?” Duck started, then looked at Bud.” This is my favorite quote because it started the conflict of two players wanting to play quarterback. The Breakfast Burrito Disaster

It was just a normal day in home economics class, but that day was a cooking day. This was the first lab where we had to multitask. This made things a little harder as this was new to us. Are group started off good with the salsa. We then started the potatoes. When it came to adding the paprika, salt and pepper I was a little perplexed about what to add, then we made a disastrous mistake. We added the garlic salt that was supposed to be for the salsa. We all were devastated, but thankful that it wasn’t something major like the tomatoes. I wanted to be under the surface of the earth or subterranean so know body could see me . We knew it was going to be salty already so we didn’t bother to add the salt we were supposed to put in. In the end our product ended up being good, and tasty with good flavor from the salsa and potatoes. It also fumigated the room with its amazing smell. Thanks for reading the new blog!!!

Dumbledore Quote

For this blog I chose the quote, “we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy” by Albus Dumbledore. This quote means you shouldn’t always pick the easy choice you should pick the choice that is right. This quote relates to me by giving me a scenario of when I am stuck in school I shouldn’t just search up a answer and take the easy path, I should take the path that is right and try to figure it out on my own using other resources.
